Paws for Reading is a program in which children read to SAVE Animal Shelter’s residing cats and dogs to help socialize the animals and to get them accustomed to human voices.

Auten Road School Holds Annual Soup-er Bowl Canned Food Collection
Two fifth grade teams at Auten Road Intermediate School, Teams 5J and 5K, held their fifth annual Soup-er Bowl Canned Food Drive collection to benefit the Hillsborough Township Food Pantry.

Hillsborough High School Battle of the Bands 2019
Last weekend, Hillsborough High School hosted two events that captured the essence of performing arts in the community. On Friday, February 1st, the HHS Debate Team organized the school’s annual Battle of the Bands. Five bands performed, four led by HHS students, and one comprising of HHS Faculty. There was a mix of original material, as well as classics by Blink 182, Nirvana, and Queen.

Free Cardiac Screening For Teen Athletes
On Saturday, February 2nd, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset is offering a free cardiac screening for teen athletes. Sudden Cardiac Arrest describes electrical problems in the heart that cause a dangerously irregular heart rhythm, which prevents blood flow throughout the body. Although it is rare, young athletes are more than twice as likely to experience SCA as compared to non-athletes.

Full Day Kindergarten Coming to Hillsborough
At the first Hillsborough Board of Education meeting of 2019, members of the Board authorized a referendum to be placed on the ballot for Hillsborough voters on March 12. Residents will be asked to vote on Hillsborough Township Public Schools’ plan to invest in the future of the district by implementing a full-day kindergarten program as well as assisting the Board in laying out a plan for long-term financial stability.

Montgomery High School Cougar Invitational
Montgomery High School is hosting the third annual Cougar Invitational this Sunday, January 6th. Come support the newly established Hillsborough High School Dance Team as they perform at their very first competition!

On Saturday, December 15th from 11am to 4pm businesses through Bernardsville NJ will be providing cookies to shoppers for the Cookie Crawl! A $10 Cookie Crawl ticket will give you a map of participating businesses and a cookie box to collect all the cookies.
