Hillsborough Rotary Fair is Back!

The fair will run from Tuesday, August 17th, to Saturday, August 21st. From Tuesday to Thursday 6-10 PM and Friday to Saturday 6-11 PM.

The four-day-long event will be held on the Hillsborough Promenade (315 Route 206), and will consist of amusement rides, games, fireworks, and food. Visitors of the Fair will also be able to see local businesses and a spectacular fireworks show on the 20th at 10 PM.

Though people can look forward to the same fair they know and love, there are some changes visitors will see in this year's Fair. These changes include all rides allowing for a cashless payment system. Instead, people interested in attending the fair will be required to purchase wristbands at kiosks that will be available throughout the Fair. Therefore, instead of tickets, the wristbands will be used to go on rides and the cost of each ride will be paid for through the amount the wristband cost. Every night of the Fair, there will be a $30 purchase available to have access to rides. However, patrons can choose different cost amounts for select rides, and food and game vendors will only accept cash.

No one should have a single drop of fear when it comes to their health, as the Fair plans on staying committed to New Jersey’s COVID-19 safety guidelines. There will also be hand-washing and hand sanitizing stations available in addition to the restrooms. Patrons of the fair are humbly requested to respect the state’s COVID-19 guidelines, just as the Fair will.

Just as there has been in previous years, there will be a “Giant 50/50 Raffle” who’s winner will receive a multi-thousand-dollar reward. The winner will be selected and announced on the 20th at the Fair. Tickets to be part of the drawing cost $5, and all the money that will be raised will be used to fund contributions and service projects for the community.
