HHS Senior Prom
On Friday, May 17th, Hillsborough High School (HHS) hosted its annual Senior Prom at the Hilton East Brunswick Hotel. After months of studying and taking exams, the seniors of HHS were able to let loose for one final night before graduating and going their separate ways.
Although HHS hosts a junior prom two months prior, the Senior Prom is a prime example of a class getting together to celebrate a successful year.
On the day of prom, seniors and other attendees were permitted to leave school early to prepare for the dance. After leaving, students went to hair and makeup appointments, and got ready for the evening. Friends met in groups at houses to take pictures and gather in their excitement.
To get to prom, many groups either took limousines or drove, finally reaching their destination. Students began to enter the building at 7 p.m., and the event officially began at 8 p.m. The night started off with dancing, and dinner followed soon after. Throughout the night, the senior class celebrated an eventful year remembered their entire high school career.
Right before the night was over, seniors Connor Leoni and Lena Chedid were announced as Prom King and Queen, representing the class of 2019. At 11 p.m., students began to leave the dance, either heading home or continuing to hang out with friends. Even though the night had ended, the excitement that prom had brought the students would not be forgotten.
